Dan was born in Bevier, MO and attended North East Missouri State University. He and his wife Jeanne opened their agency in Lake St. Louis in 1981. He hired his daughter, Whitney as his office manager in 2014. His son, Philip, is chef & owner of Root Food+Wine in Augusta, MO. He has 3 grandsons and a granddaughter.
